A Quick Look

Please come out and join me at Crowne Plaza every Friday night from 5:30-8:30. A great way to unwind on the way home from work and still plenty of time to get out for a Friday night on the town afterwards!

Influenced by a variety of music such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Styx, Foreigner, Rod Stewart, The Eagles, George Strait, Keith Whitley, Waylon Jennings, Alan Jackson, George Jones, Conway Twitty, and many 50's, 60's & 70's artists, Bob brings a fresh spin to live music. Playing favorites as well as the one-hit-wonders we all grew up with but haven't thought of in years, always brings great memories to everyone's mind.

Whether it's a solo performance or a show with a full band, Bob is always one of the highlights of any event. Bob is fully versed in guitar, piano, and saxophone. Also a seasoned singer and performer as well as a songwriter with Nashville credits.

Bob has won numerous talent awards for his performances such as Second Place in the USAF World Wide Talent Competition, First Place Vocalist/Self-Accompanied, and Best Independent Song while in Nashville, TN. He has been published by Polygram/Island Music in Nashville, TN and has performed in over 70 cities nationwide in over 30 states.

His father, Bob Farrell (Sr.), was a local country singer in the New England area and it was no surprise that the genes were passed along. At the age of 13, Bob was living in Desert Aire, WA and got his first guitar for Christmas. With the help of the "Ernie Ball How To Play Guitar" book, Bob was self-taught. This began his live stage performances just a year later. But how many times can "House of the Rising Sun" be played in one night? Now with a repertoire of well over 1,000 songs, it is hard to find a popular country, pop, or rock artist that Bob would be stumped to play their songs.

Some of the best fans have always been his two dogs, Abbey & Rigby. Whether laying across his feet while tapping out a tempo, or laying under the baby grand piano, the dogs are always content when they hear music. Abbey & Rigby are also both accomplished singers - not a "D Chord" goes by without the two dogs chiming in with a melodic howl. Their favorites seem to be "Only The Good Die Young" (Billy Joel) and "Bennie & The Jets" (Elton John). They have also let it be known that they do not appreciate the saxophone at all.

Bob served proudly in the USAF and while stationed at McChord AFB outside of Tacoma, WA, he won many base and US talent awards. During the evenings he was playing with his band in local clubs. Three years later Bob was stationed at Robins AFB just outside of Macon, GA and followed the same path of music. Also winning World Wide Talent Show awards for himself and his Command. After serving his tour, Bob was honorably discharged and immediately relocated to Nashville, TN. After just one year in Music City USA, his first song "Didn't We Mean Anything To You" was published by Polygram/Island Music. Bob had a successful and growing music career in Nashville for over a decade until he found out his grandparent's health had declined. That led to him moving to Las Vegas, NV to be closer to his family.

Once in Las Vegas, Bob was still playing private gigs, but had landed a "normal" job in Sales & Marketing. A lot of hard work and he is now the co-owner and business partner of F&M Publishing, LLC, a publisher of Business and Consumer driven publications in Albuquerque, NM.

Now that the traditional business has been established in Albuquerque, Bob is bringing his music and entertainment back to the public. So if you are planning a large party or event, make sure to book your entertainment early. And should you choose to use Bob Farrell as your entertainment, you will not go wrong.
